Community Resilience Plan
Millgrove’s Community Resilience Plan, complements the Millgrove Community Plan (2021). It focuses on how we as the Millgrove community can best prepare ourselves to meet the natural hazards that we face, particularly fires and floods.
This Plan represents a starting point. The Millgrove Residents Action Group (MRAG) has been working with the support of the Minderoo Foundation and ResilientCo, to identify how to best help Millgrove to be prepared, so we can manage – and hopefully avoid – flood and fire disasters
We designed six key projects we think will make the most difference to our community.
Preparation for a fire resilient season has started
Sharing some photos from our recent working bee/Millgrove Muster, which was led by Australian Resilience Corps and Connecting Communities Australia. It was held over three days in April 2023 and was a huge success!
Most of the volunteers came from further afield, giving up their time to support our community, with everyone having their own unique reason to come and help us to prepare for a fire resilient season.
Please take your time going through the pictures and video and spot the locals.
We had a great time together and hope that you can be part of the next working bee, organised and led by MRAG.
